I came to making my own art very late in life and I decided to study for a degree in Fine Art when I was in my 50’s. This late start has influenced my art and as a consequence it is mostly based on experimentation and process. During my degree, printmaking become the medium that I loved the most. Printmaking has a significant history that I intend to honour, but also want to push against it. Once removed from the tyranny of perfection, there is potential for prints to change in scale and dimension, and to have a more intense sense of engagement and interaction with the audience.
